On remembering the question

Beauty grows richer, though more lined

This is the garden of my soul
I walk its paths in pure delight
The earth and sky that make me whole
The magic lives both day and night
No other place restores me so
This healing balm that satisfies
Will lift me up when I am low
My spirit soars its beauteous skies.
Every tree and every flower
Enriches this most lovely place
Minute to minute, hour to hour
Beloved vista changes face
The seasons cycle ambles on
How elegant the tireless ride
The falling leaves, the trailing frond
The gentle petals' vibrant pride
Within this place there is no star
No plant surpasses all the rest
From highest bough to sweetest flower
Is harmony beyond contest
Each shape, each colour, every scent
Combines to make this world complete
And this is why to you I'm sent
To feel the earth beneath my feet

My heart could burst
It feels so full
The cleansing rain
The healing wind
The burning sun
All nourish my soul.
Remember the love that you came from
Remember the tasks that you set yourself
And the path you wished to walk,
Remember the eyes of those you have loved
And the strength of the arms that embrace you.
Remember all that you have known
And all the lessons you have learned.
Remember all that you are

Remember the way.
Remember the way is not what you expect it to be.
Remember the excitement of an open heart-
The exhilaration of change,
Of trusting the unknown,
Of confronting a fear, of knowing in your heart that you are the best you can be.

The Dance of Life

I ran so fast that I almost fell over
Made all my choices, Saw clearly the way
The dance that is life with her dainty hand beckoned
Her colours so vibrant, Unable to fade.
Of silver and gold were the rings on her fingers
The softest of leather let feet celebrate
The rise and the fall of the breath in her body
The drape of the fabric a madrigal played.
In mystical spirals her hair polka'd waistward
Revealing, concealing a hand that would ache
To hold in the palm all the fruits of the harvest
To sing all the notes of the song that she made.
Yet the greatest of all was the truth in her eyes
The fulfilment of every dream's efforts to pray
Defiant of word, separated from body
I watch, I wait, I participate.
We Have walked this sacred pathway
Feeling Earth beneath our feet
We laughed the way that lovers do
Feeling joy and love complete
The trees our only shelter- the river flowing by
We both have earth for pillows,
For blanket we will share the same sky.
My beloved! Passion still burns within my heart
I will return to you, Wishing we had never been apart!

I look around - in all I see
The joy of life smiles back at me
The melody of human voice
All Spirit sings as hearts rejoice
Let all that loves and laughs aloud
My eye seek out as it stands proud
Today this is a world at play,
experiments
or moulds as clay
What matters now, not what has been,
what this one said, what that one's seen
The future path is undisclosed
For all there is, is love enthroned
So take it in your open hand
Let it flow as soft as sand
See the love in every grain
It is not lost, it comes again,
Is infinite in magnitude:
Omnipotence of Love.
The Beauty of a Rose
While the bloom was softly forming
like a blush you looked away
'til the heart revealed perfected petals
proudly greet the day
Passion in the heat of sunlight
Laughing out the purest joy
Innocent, irreverent screams of love
Yet the stem supporting beauty
thorns deterrent to your plan
Spilling blood upon the garden should you
take it in your hand
For she needs the root she grows from
While she shows her heart to you
You will never own the beauty of a rose
When the summer days grow short
The rose's petals drift away
And your heart will stir in anger at
Inconstancy at play
The flower's love was out of time
For you her beating heart
